Background - Year 2003 is the 100th Anniversary of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and "The Ride Home" is a cross-country motorcycle ride that is part of the celebration of this anniversary in August of 2003. Jeffrey Davidson Schrager is a great-grandson of William A. Davidson, an original founder of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a non-profit charitable organization that has a 23-year history of corporate support from The Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

Background: Great Grandson of William A. Davidson Co-Founder of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Grandson of Marion Davidson (Lange), Son of Carol Lange Schrager

Education: BS Aerospace Engineering, UCLA 1989

Management Experience: Chief Pilot and Chief Checkairman, Sierra Expressway Airlines, Multi-unit Investment Property Manager.

Career Summary: Mr. Schrager has a broad and unique combination of skills that are due in part to his education and in part to his experience. He has worked as a Professional Pilot for the last 15 years and has held a variety of challenging and entrepreneurial positions. After graduating from UCLA as an Aerospace Engineer, his career progression led him to work for a number of regional airlines as both a pilot and free-lance Engineering consultant. Most notably Mr. Schrager was instrumental in the founding of Sierra Expressway Airlines based in Oakland California where he both built the Flight Operations the Training Department and served as Chief Pilot and Chief Checkairman. During his tenure at Sierra Expressway he managed over 40 pilots and other personnel and gained a broad range of management experiences and skills. Currently, Mr. Schrager works as an Airline Pilot for American Airlines flying Boeing 737 aircraft to a variety of domestic and international destinations.


Riding Experience: He has been a motorcycle owner/rider since the age of 14 and even was given physical education credit in high school for motorcycle riding. He purchased the motorcycle and sidecar to be used specifically for the Legacy Ride Home and his street riding experience has been limited to exclusively Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
